I started to work as researcher 6 years ago, and since then, I love my work because it combines the laboratory and the field work. I love other sports like soccer and tennis, and sometimes, I enjoy playing videogames in my Nintento Switch.

My Work:
I work with small algae that live in the water and I try to know how climatic change will affect them.

Concretely, I work with these microalgae in the lab and in the field. Now, I have cultured one algae that it is going to be exposed to dust collected from wildfires and desert.

My Typical Day:
I wake up early in the morning (6 am) and after the breakfast, I take a walk to the University. I start to work at 7.30 am and I check that my algae are good πΒ After that, I carry out some analysis in the lab and I have lunch. Then, I work with my computer and I finish my work at 5 pm. Later, I go to the swimming pool.

During my day at the job, I have to work hard doing analysis in the lab, but I also like to talk with my colleagues in the lab about our weekend and all the things that motivate us. After have lunch, I call my family in Spain and I tell them how it was my day. When I finish swimming, I go home and I try π to cook something good for the next day. Finally, I watch any TV serie like Game of Thrones or I read a book.

With this new webpage, I would like to show the people the differences among microalgae species and why are they so important for the climate and the functioning of lakes and oceans.

I was studying in Spain from I was 5 to 20 years old (School, High School and University).
During University period, I was studying for 6 months in Belgium and later, I was doing part of my research in Italy.
Finally, I arrived to USA in August, 2021.

Work History:
My first job was in the Photography shop of my uncle.
Then, I was working at the City Hall of my town, as environmental technician.
Before starting my research, I also was working in a private company as environmental teacher.
Finally, I start my research in 2015.

My current job is being developed in Utah State University, and I work as scientist studying the effects of climate change on microalgae.
